Colac Bay, New Zealand

Right down the road from Riverton sits Colac Bay. The town hugs the bay, with sandy beaches, and has a popular surf spot known as Trees- where the beach breaks to the left and right. As we were exploring the area we happened upon a surf competition that demonstrated the true flavor of the town. With one pub/cafe, caravan park, craft shop, community hall, and Marae – surfing really is their pride and joy!
